FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Local winegrower, guest chef, and parfumier collaborate this Valentine's Day to host a luxe, multi-sensory party for wine lovers in Portland's Pearl District.

PORTLAND, Ore. — January 20, 2020 — Woven Wineworks is pleased to announce it will host a “Seduce the Senses” Valentine's Day Party on Friday, February 14 at its urban gathering space in the Pearl District. Inspired by the art and passion of wine, Woven is teaming up with a few of its favorite local makers to craft a flirty evening of alluring bites, sips, and sounds to seduce all the senses. “I think the world can use all the love it can get right now,” says Woven Wineworks cofounder and winemaker Elaina Spring. “My hope is that people will come to this party and rekindle their own passion, be it through wine, or food, or fragrance, or music, or the person they bring with them.”

Guests are invited to wander Woven’s subterranean space and taste the love as guest Chef Jessica MacLaren (Belle Saveur PDX) weaves together enticing flavors and local ingredients to create an aphrodisiac-inspired grazing table flaunting fresh figs stuffed with soft goat cheese and honey to spicy chile peppers and strawberries drizzled with chocolate (natch). Meanwhile, DJ Sacrilicious will spin tantalizing tunes to ensure love is in the air all night long, reminding partygoers how sound can influence our connection with one another--as well as with what's in our wine glasses.

Award-winning perfumer Marisa Borrevik, of Sweet Anthem Handmade Perfumes, keeps the olfactory senses engaged with a love at first sniff flight of alluring plant-based fragrances--her subtle blends of herbs and botanicals acting as a springboard to explore the science behind different smells and how they help shape the perception of flavor.

Woven Wineworks co-founder Spring offers clever wine-based cocktails goosed with botanicals or a spritz of “Love Potion #9” as well an inventive, art-aided love is blind tasting flight: three of Woven’s signature bottles, presented sight unseen. After all, you never know what you’ll be attracted to...

“I believe memorable wine is made with passion and comes from the heart. Since my inaugural pinot noir in 2012, I have remained dedicated to delivering wholesome, handcrafted wines that are made with love from extraordinary grapes,” says Woven Wineworks co-founder Spring. “I want my wines to bring people together, cultivate community, provoke storytelling, and inspire celebration. With this particular gathering I hope to provide a sensational way for local wine lovers to explore a little bit of the passion I’ve bottled over the past seven years.”

6-10 pm Friday, February 14 at Woven Wineworks. Advance tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at www.wovenwineworks.com. Everyone aged 21 and over is welcome to attend. Singles and emergent couples are strongly encouraged to join the party.
